With over 15 years of diverse nursing experience, six years as an adjunct university professor, and extensive leadership in project management, I bring a unique blend of clinical expertise, education, and strategic execution to healthcare organizations and professionals.
My Professional Journey
🔹 Nursing Expertise: My hands-on experience spans critical care, community and public health, case management, utilization review, behavioral health, home health, and more. This broad foundation allows me to understand and address complex healthcare challenges effectively.
🔹 Educator & Mentor: As a former university professor, I spent six years shaping the next generation of nurses, delivering both clinical and theoretical instruction.
🔹 Staff Development Leadership: In my role as a Staff Development Coordinator, I spearheaded initiatives to enhance the skills of nursing professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
🔹 Project Leadership & Management: With years of experience in project-focused roles—including Project Manager, Scrum Master, Subject Matter Expert, and Agile Lead—I specialize in driving healthcare initiatives from concept to completion using structured methodologies and innovative solutions.
🔹 Continuing Education Contributor: I develop engaging, high-quality nursing courses for Nursing CE Central, helping nurses meet continuing education requirements and stay at the forefront of their field.

Ms. Maybelle Kona is a skilled ESL and Organizational Communication Consultant with a passion for helping individuals overcome communication barriers and thrive in academic and professional environments. With a bachelor’s Degree in English and a Master’s degree in International Communication and Public Relations, she brings a global perspective to every learning experience.
Fluent in English, French, and Chinese Mandarin, Ms. Kona specializes in supporting adult learners, multilingual professionals, and career changers by combining English language instruction with training in public speaking, interpersonal communication, and workplace readiness. Her unique approach integrates therapeutic communication techniques, active listening, and agile methodologies to help clients build confidence, reduce social anxiety, and communicate effectively in diverse settings.
Ms. Kona has experience in career coaching, speech improvement, team collaboration, and crisis communication. Her goal is to equip learners not only with language skills, but also with the tools to express themselves clearly, lead with confidence, and grow in their careers.
